#TegTalks with a Strategist hosted by Jason Semenek and Brandi Starr are conversations and insights for digital marketing leaders, by digital marketing leaders. During these 10- to 20-minute conversations, we discuss (and sometimes debate) the key challenges digital marketers face today.
Consumers are inundated with marketing communications daily. As marketers, we must figure out how to cut through the noise and allow our brand to shine, and one way to do this is through visual storytelling, which is the art of communicating a series of messages using visual multimedia. By telling your brand’s story through visuals, which includes everything from your website to social media content and printed pieces, you are likely to get a better result. The human brain is capable of processing visuals 60,000 times faster than reading plain text, and visuals have the ability to evoke emotion. When you hear something, you may only remember 10% after 10 days, but if you hear something accompanied by visuals, you are likely to remember upwards of 65%.
In this episode of TegTalks with a Strategist, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Jessica Jones, Marketing Automation Consultant and one of Tegrita’s in-house graphic designers to discuss why visual storytelling is important and key things that marketers should consider.
